With wedding season in full swing, and I have been ever so curious as to what the wedding guests are wearing. I have stumbled upon fun prints to bright colors, to florals and even off-white. Since I recently attended a very special wedding, I thought I would do a post on summer wedding dresses, since they are always a necessity.
Personally, I love to find simple dresses that you could easily wear to a brunch, shower, dinner party, or something similar - and pair it with a casual heel. The striped dress in the first couple of photos was a gem I found one day while in Anthropologie. The colorful striped detailing is what caught my eye, but the halter top and comfortability is what pushed me to purchase. I love that it was long enough to wear to a conservative rehearsal dinner, but still very summery and feminine.
For the day of the wedding, I knew I wanted something bright, yet comfortable since it was outside and during the day. The coral, off the shoulder sundress I found - at Anthropologie, of course - was so breathable and paired perfectly with nude accents. Had I found a fun turquoise statement earring, such as these, I totally would have thrown them on, as well.
This dress comes in so many simple colors and would be perfect for a beach day, or even dinner. It is casual enough to be dressed down with sandals, which I love for summer evenings.
