As many of you may have already experienced Texas weather, you know that the summers last long into autumn. The hot 90 degree days and warm nights make it hard to incorporate fall transitional pieces into a wardrobe. As I gaze into shop windows, OTK boots and leather jackets are all I see, even though I will be sporting dresses and light tee's until at least early November. I honestly cannot wait for fall fashion. Since I can remember, fall has been my favorite wardrobe for so many reasons. Does anyone else feel that there are so many more options? I just love the idea of high waisted dark denim, a fun jacket and boots - so fitting for fall.
Until the temperature cools, I have tried to find the best transitional pieces to make the seasonal switch. This blush (really called 'peach' but is totally more of a pink) off the shoulder top shows just the right amount of skin, but is still long sleeve and breathable. It could totally work with a pair of high waisted shorts or a cute skirt. I'll most likely be wearing this again under a leather jacket and some taller boots.
I don't think there is really a more transitional shoe than a bootie. The exact booties I am wearing are sold out, however I have linked some of my absolute favorites in the shop bar above (I might even go ahead and purchase a nicer pair because I wear them so much). They are the perfect height - a little above the ankle, and are even more adorable paired with a dress.
